How to take a "inside leg measurement" - men
From the inside leg, starting at the crotch, measure down to the bottom of your trouser hem.
Start at the top of your inner thigh, where your leg meets your crotch.
Measure straight down along the inside of your leg to the bottom of your trouser hem. Ensure the measuring tape is lying flat and straight, not wrapping around your leg.
Do not measure your leg's circumference; it should be its length.
Tip: Keep your leg straight. The Inside leg measurement seems to be the measurement that men get wrong the most, so please double-check it.
As a general guide, your inside leg should be roughly 45% of your height in inches, and most average-sized people will be somewhere between 28 and 34 inches, perhaps a couple of inches less if very short and a couple of inches more if very tall.
